Course Description: PDH 340 Global Issues and the Pulitzer Center. As a campus consortium partner with the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting Flagler College students have the unique opportunity to be part of a bold initiative in researching and reporting on key global events.

My project: Jordan Valley Droughts and Dreams is an investigation into the drought crisis in the Jordan valley, the second driest place on earth. Through a semester-long investigation I was able to understand how climate change has impacted small farmers of the Jordan Valley and created a report and presentation on the issue. At the end of the semester, I had the opportunity to present this to the Pulitzer center. I ended up going to Jordan and having the opportunity to study the water crisis first hand

IG for the Win: A Content Analysis of COVID-19 information disseminated via Instagram by Liberal Arts Colleges

As part of my strategic communication research course, we developed a research paper that focuses on how liberal arts colleges in the South East region used social media to disseminate COVID-19 information. Me and a group of 3 compiled screenshots from 4 other small liberal arts colleges that used Instagram and divided the category into local policy, school policy, vaccination information, and COVID-19 information.
